For the 3rd consecutive year, Katipunan Bank has once again chaired the DOLE Zamboanga del Norte Family Welfare Committee. The seat was garnered by the Bank since 2014 up until this year. As the vanguard of DOLE-Family Welfare Committee Programs and Activities, Katipunan Bank became one of the sponsors of the first DOLE-FWC Regional Basketball Tournament launched last May 8, 2017 at the ABC Gymnasium, Dipolog City with the theme “Pasingot sa Kaugmaon, Kompanya Palamboon”.
The Family Welfare Program is in line with Republic Act 10354 or “An Act Providing for a National Policy on Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health.”
