BASIC REQUIREMENTS UPON ACCOUNT OPENING

INDIVIDUAL

  1. 1 Valid ID (Government issued)
  2. 2 Pcs. of 1 x 1 ID Picture

FOREIGNER

  1. Passport
  2. (ACR) Alien Certificate of Registration/Diplomatic Identification Card issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) specifying status (i.e. working, business, student, non-resident).

COURT APPOINTED FIDUCIARY (GUARDIAN, ADMINISTRATOR, TRUSTEE OR RECEIVER)

  1. Original copy of Court Order with Fiduciary’s appointment
  2. Original Copy of Court Order authorizing the Fiduciary to open a deposit account with Katipunan Bank.

SINGLE PROPRIETORSHIP

  1. DTI Certificate of Registration
  2. Special Power of Attorney, if signed by a person other than the registered owner.
  3. Business Permit/Mayor’s Permit
  4. BIR Certificate of Registration

CORPORATION AND PARTNERSHIP (Additional requirement)

  1. SEC Certificate of Registration or Certificate of Registration issued by the Cooperative Development Authority and by the BSP for money changers, foreign exchange dealers and remittance agents.
  2. Articles of Incorporation or Partnership
  3. By-Laws
  4. Board/Partner’s Resolution duly certified by the Corporate/Partner’s Secretary authorizing the signatory to sign or enter into an agreement with Katipunan Bank on behalf of the entity. This must also contain the specimen signatures of the authorized signatories.

ASSOCIATIONS, CLUBS, FOUNDATIONS, COOPERATIVES OR UNINCORPORATED ORGANIZATIONS (Additional requirement)

  1. Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws of Cooperative, Association or Unincorporated Organization
  2. Certificate of Registration (COR) with SEC and/or COR with the concern affiliation
  3. Board Resolution or notarized minutes of meeting of general membership and/or governing body certified by its Secretary stating the following:
    • Authority to open an account or transact business with the bank; &
    • Officers authorized to sign checks and other instruments, their limits and combinations.
