Branches and Offices

The management knows no limit in coming up with ways how to improve the bank. The initial step in reaching out to more clients, of course, was establishing branches outside the municipality of Katipunan. Dipolog was the obvious first choice, being the capital of Zamboanga del Norte. The breakthrough year came in 1998, with eight new employees.

The succeeding branches came in rapid succession. In 2001, Katipunan purchased the Plaza Rural Bank, Inc. at Carcar Cebu. The consolidation took place on May 1, 2008. That began the Katipunan Bank’s reaching out into the Visayas and some parts in Mindanao: Lilo-an (May 2008), Compostela (June 2008), Pagadian (August 2009), Oroquieta and Ipil (September 2009), Talisay (October 2009) and Tagbilaran (November 2009).
